Privacy Policy

Strolla · Last updated July 2026

The short version: Strolla does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. No account is required, there are no analytics or trackers, and because routing and stories run on your device, we never see where you walk.

We do not collect personal data

Strolla does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. No account is required to use the app.

Your location stays on your device

Strolla uses your location and compass to place you on the map, choose walks near you, and answer “the building you're facing is…”. This all happens on your device. Your location is never sent to us or to any third party. We have no servers to send it to.

No analytics or tracking

There are no third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking tools in this app.

City packs and content

Cities are distributed as static content packs delivered through Apple. Stories are drawn from open sources: Wikipedia (CC BY-SA), Wikidata (CC0) and OpenStreetMap (ODbL), with attribution shown on every card. Narration is generated on your device and is not recorded or transmitted.

iCloud sync

Any custom walks you create are saved locally and can sync across your Apple devices via your own iCloud, governed by Apple's policies. We maintain no servers and receive none of this data. Its handling is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Subscriptions

Any subscription is processed entirely by the App Store. We do not handle or store any payment information.

Children

Strolla is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no data at all, we collect no data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll update this page and revise the date above.
